Hamas hands out $32 million to families whose homes were destroyed in Gaza operation. Hamas said that it also provided financial aid to families of Palestinians who were killed. Hamas announced on Monday that it has handed out a total of $32 million in aid to families whose houses were completely and partially destroyed during Operation Protective Edge. Hamas said that it also provided financial aid to families of Palestinians who were killed.According to Hamas, nearly $20 million were given to families whose houses were completely destroyed in all parts of the Gaza Strip. Another $11.5 million went to those whose houses were partially destroyed, while families of “martyrs” were given a total of $800,000, according to figures released by Hamas. In addition, Hamas paid $2000 in relief aid to each family that lost its house during the operation. Hamas did not say where the money came from.

Anthea Mitchell - August 05, 2014 Page 1 of 5 - Given the current situation in Gaza, which as of Tuesday a.m. saw another temporary ceasefire between Israeli forces and Hamas, now seems an opportune time to examine U.S. aid to Israel. Historically, and still today, the U.S. has maintained a very strong relationship with Israeli forces against extremist terrorist groups. There has been increased controversy over the number of civilian Palestinian deaths; so far, 1,800 Palestinian deaths, with Israel losing 64 soldiers and three civilians, according to The Guardian. However, negotiations this week look likely to be strained.
The United States’ role in supporting Israel is an important one, and it is therefore worthwhile to outline just what type of connection the U.S. has. We’ll look at the National Security Agency’s relation with Israel in intelligence sharing, U.S. military support, financial support, and diplomatic support. Continued

Security sources, meanwhile, call into question this assessment. Two weeks after Operation Protective Edge ended with an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire, Hamas is readying itself for the next round of fighting with Israel, a senior diplomatic source said Sunday. “They are already preparing themselves,” the source said, adding that Israel has detected Hamas smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip. Likewise, he said, Hamas is working to restore the terrorist tunnels in Gaza, as well as to build up its rocket manufacturing capabilities.
Gaza’s rocket manufacturing capacity is currently 40 percent of what it was at the outset of Operation Protective Edge, and the Palestinians were continuing to build rockets, the source said. The official said just as Hamas prepared itself following Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012 “step-by-step” for the next round, it is already starting to do the same thing now. Security sources, meanwhile, called into question this assessment, saying they were unaware of this information, and that it was “not clear” upon what information the assessment was based, or from where the information was drawn.

Smoke rises after an Israeli strike hit Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip
Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014. The Israeli military said it carried out a series of airstrikes Tuesday across the Gaza Strip in response to renewed rocket fire, a burst of violence that broke a temporary cease-fire and endangered negotiations in Egypt over ending the month long war between Israel and Hamas. The fighting occurred some eight hours before a temporary truce was set to expire. (AP Photo - Adel Hana)
By MOHAMMED DARAGHMEH and JOSEF FEDERMAN - Associated Press - August 19, 2014 2:20 PM EST
CAIRO (AP) - An Egyptian effort to broker an end to a monthlong war between Israel and Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip appeared to collapse Tuesday after Israel walked out on the talks in response to a barrage of Palestinian rocket fire. The Israeli walkout occurred just hours before a midnight deadline, leaving the fate of the negotiations in question and raising the possibility of a resumption of heavy fighting. The fighting appeared to pick up late Wednesday. The Israeli military said a total of 10 rockets had fallen, including one that damaged a coffee shop in southern Israel.
Palestinian officials in Gaza reported more than two dozen Israeli airstrikes. At least 21 people, including 14 women and children, were wounded in a strike that hit a building housing the offices of Hamas' Al Aqsa TV station in Gaza City.
Israel's civil defense authority, the Home Front Command, ordered authorities to reopen public bomb shelters within a 25-mile (40-kilometer) range of Gaza. "The Cairo talks were based on an agreed premise of a total cessation of hostilities," Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said. "When Hamas breaks the cease-fire, they also break the premise for the Cairo talks. Accordingly, the Israeli team has been called back as a result of today's rocket fire."

The Coded Message Obama Delivers When He Says ISIL Instead Of ISIS
NTEB News Desk | September 1, 2014 | Decoding Obama’s speech reveals some startling revelations
“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:3
In one press conference after another, when referring to the Muslim terror super-group ISIS, United States President Barack Obama will use the term ISIL instead of their former name ISIS or current name Islamic State. Have you ever wondered about that? We have.
What makes up the near exact center of the Muslim Levant? Israel. ISIL stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant. Now, to us Westerners we don’t really make much of a distinction, do we? No, honestly from our perspective its all about the same. But how would a Muslim living in the Middle East view it? Just what is the Levant anyway? Let’s take a look. The geographical term LEVANT refers to a multi-nation region in the Middle East. It’s a land bridge between Turkey to the north and Egypt to the south. If you look on a map, however, in the near exact middle of the nations that comprise the Levant, guess what you see? Come on, guess!
It’s Israel.
When Barack Obama refers over and over to the Islamic State as ISIL, he is sending a message to Muslims all over the Middle East that he personally does not recognize Israel as a sovereign nation, but as territory belonging to the Islamic State. Now you know why Obama says that he has no plan, no goal, and no stated aim for dealing with ISIS. But he does have a plan, and it’s a really nasty, diabolical one. Obama’s plan is to drag his feet for as long as he can, doing only the bare minimum that Congress forces him to do. His “plan”to buy ISIS as much time as possible to make as many gains as they can. Listen as Obama painstakingly spells out the letters I-S-I-L so there is no doubt in your mind:

JERUSALEM — Israel’s government appears divided over Hamas demands to end the war with the Jewish state.
Officials reported rising tension within the Cabinet of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They said many ministers were angry over concessions by Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon in an effort to reach a long-term ceasefire with Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. /AFP - “Israel is attempting to reach calm at any price,” Tourism Minister Uzi Landau said. Officials said Netanyahu and Ya’alon agreed to Hamas’ demands for a sea port, unlimited imports of dual-use goods as well as recognition of the Hamas-Fatah government in the Palestinian Authority. They said the prime minister was under heavy pressure by the United States, which offered to guarantee Israeli compliance.
“We are turning Hamas into an international player,” Landau, a former member of Netanyahu’s Likud Party, said.
So far, Netanyahu, accused of concealing details of ceasefire negotiations from the Cabinet, has linked the sea port to the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, which Hamas rejected. Still, Netanyahu’s colleagues in the Likud have warned that Washington could offer what they termed empty promises of demilitarization in exchange for a Gaza port that would establish a direct link with Iran.
“This would be a duty-free port for rockets and in the future Scuds [ballistic missiles],” Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz, regarded as close to Netanyahu, said. On late Aug. 18, Israel’s Ynet news website reported that Netanyahu agreed to shelve his demand for the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip. Ynet, quoting “sources in Jerusalem,” said the prime minister reached a secret understanding with the United States to open land and sea routes to the Hamas-controlled strip. Continued:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Hamas' shadowy military chief escaped an apparent Israeli assassination attempt that killed his wife and infant son, the militant group said Wednesday as Israel's prime minister warned that the bombardment of Gaza will continue until rocket fire out of the Palestinian territory stops.
The airstrike on a home where Mohammed Deif's family members were staying — and the tough talk from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — came after the collapse of cease-fire talks in Cairo on Tuesday.
In a nationally televised address, Netanyahu showed little willingness to return to the negotiating table after six weeks of war against Hamas.
"We are determined to continue the campaign with all means and as is needed," he said, his defense minister by his side. "We will not stop until we secure full security and quiet for the residents of the south and all citizens of Israel." Continued:

Friday Church News Notes, September 5, 2014, David Cloud - A seasoned reporter and editor with four years experience with the Associated Press's Jerusalem bureau, who self-describes as a "liberal," has had the courage to tell the truth about "mainstream" coverage of the Palestinian-Israel conflict. Matti Friedman's "Insiders Guide to the Most Important Story on Earth," published by The Tablet on August 26, is a fascinating glimpse, from a secular viewpoint, into current events prophesied in Scripture and explained only by Scripture. Friedman's report documents the widespread pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel sentiment among reporters. He describes it as "a hostile obsession with Jews ... among those who populate the news industry." The Bible describes it like this: "And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee" (Deut. 28:37). God warned Israel that if she rejected His law, He would reject her and evict her from the land and send her into the nations where she would experience bitter persecution. This was prophesied by Moses in Deuteronomy 28 in about 1450 BC before Israel had even entered the land under the leadership of Joshua.
Friedman's report documents the fact that the "Israel story" takes up vastly more reporting resources than any other world story. Friedman says the news agencies "believe Israel to be the most important story on earth, or very close." The Bible describes it like this: "Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her" (Ezek. 5:5). God chose Israel as the instrument of His self-revelation to mankind, and Israel will continued to be "the most important story on earth" for a very long time!
Friedman's report documents the extreme, unconscionable bias of not reporting on the corruption and inbred hatred of the "Palestinians." He says, "If you follow mainstream coverage, you will find nearly no real analysis of Palestinian society or ideologies, profiles of armed Palestinian groups, or investigation of Palestinian government. ... The Hamas charter, for example, calls not just for Israel's destruction but for the murder of Jews and blames Jews for engineering the French and Russian revolutions and both world wars; the charter was never mentioned in print when I was at the AP, though Hamas won a Palestinian national election and had become one of the region's most important players" ("Insiders Guide to the Most Important Story on Earth"). The Bible describes the reason for this amazing duplicity in mainstream news reporting as follows: "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience" (Eph. 2:2). The devil is in control of this present world. He hates Israel, and unbelievers are his instruments. He "worketh in them."
Friedman's report documents the fact that Israel is a fragile island in a vast ocean of hatred. He describes it as follows: "A knowledgeable observer of the Middle East cannot avoid the impression that the region is a volcano and that the lava is radical Islam, an ideology whose various incarnations are now shaping this part of the world. ISRAEL IS A TINY VILLAGE ON THE SLOPES OF THE VOLCANO" ("Insiders Guide to the Most Important Story on Earth"). The reason why Israel has not been destroyed after 2,000 years of wandering and the reason why the modern state of Israel has not been destroyed though outrageously outnumbered and outgunned is described by the Bible as follows: "And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee" (Deut. 30:1-3). God promised to keep Israel in her 2,000-year-old dispersion and to bring her back to her land. This is beginning to be fulfilled, and though Israel must still go through a lot of trouble because of her unbelief, nothing can destroy her.
Friedman concludes his analysis of mainstream news coverage of Israel as follows: "Many of the people deciding what you will read and see from here view their role not as explanatory but as political. Coverage is a weapon to be placed at the disposal of the side they like."

My guess is that your co-worker is not part of a synagogue or a Jewish study program. In a formal Jewish setting, he would have learned that being Jewish is not only a matter of lineage. Conversion is the “other” way people become Jewish. Continued:

Thursday, August 28, 2014 | A poll of Israelis showed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approval rating has plunged to 38 percent in the last month from a high of 82 percent. Netanyahu’s approval rating was at its highest in the days after Israel began its ground war in Gaza, according to the poll released Aug. 25 by Israel’s Channel 2.
The survey found that 50 percent of the respondents did not approve of Netanyahu’s performance. Some 63 percent opposed the opening of schools in southern Israel while rockets were still falling, and 68 percent did not believe the government was treating residents of the south fairly. — jta

Aug 13, 2014 7:21 AM - The Israeli government will invest at least $100 million every year of its “own” money (read American taxpayers’ money)into what will eventually be a multi-billion dollar worldwide campaign to prevent “assimilation with non-Jews” amongst non-orthodox Jews, a new article in the Jewish Weekly has revealed.
According to the article, which actually complains that the “details are fuzzy,” the “identity campaign” as it is called, is a“historic development,” a “paradigm shift” and a “change in the relationship” between Israel and diaspora Jewry.
Apparently the scheme was conceived last year as a “partnership among the Israeli government, the Jewish Agency for Israel and major diaspora Jewish bodies.”
Its aim, the article says, is to “strengthen diaspora Jewish identity and connections between Israel and Jews worldwide.” The Israeli government has already voted the first $50 million for the initiative to fund it through to 2017, and “intends to increase the sum to $100 million annually by 2022.”
In addition, the Israeli government wants what the Jewish Weekly calls “diaspora sources”—which it defines as [Jewish]“federations, philanthropic foundations and individual donors” to contribute double those sums for two-thirds of the initiative’s total budget.
“It’s a historic development that the Israeli government has decided to take more responsibility for strengthening the identity of Jewish communities,” said the Jewish Agency’s chairman, Natan Sharansky. “We’re talking about Jewish identity built on a connection to Israel.”
Sharansky said that while Orthodox Jews have ritual observance to keep them engaged in the Jewish community, Israel is the only proven anchor to ensure Jewish identity for non-Orthodox Jews.
“In the non-Orthodox world nothing stops assimilation except connection to Israel,” he said. “In Orthodox communities, awareness of Jewish identity is very high. They live through their faith and Jewish tradition. When you move to others, you find out that this deep feeling of your belonging to this Jewish story and your desire to stay inside of it is becoming thinner and thinner.”
In other words, the purpose of this initiative, according to the head of the Jewish Agency, is to prevent non-orthodox Jews from mixing with non-Jews.
Quite apart from the fact that the American taxpayers give over $3 billion a year to Israel in “foreign aid” (which will pay for this Jews-only scheme several times over), the reader is asked to consider for a minute what this “identity program”actually means.
The best way to understand it is to restate the “initiative’s” purpose, but substitute Europeans, Africans, Asians—or, heaven forbid—Palestinians—with the word “Jew” in the Jewish Weekly report.

Why is there Death and Slaughter going on in the Ukraine
Radical Zionist sect Chabad seeks to to move to Ukraine from the USA that the sect has already milked dry.
They want to build in Ukraine a "City on the Hill", preventively destroying the local population just in case…
On May 6, 2014, the deputy head of Dnipropetrovsk, B. Filatov announced a sensation - the project "Jewish Kiev": What to do with those who sincerely desire the death of my country, with the enchanting Russian idiots who really do not understand why we are ready to kill them, with vile Russian journalists whom we can't call humans?
With all this host of evil?
Tomorrow is a new day and the Sun will rise. But what will all this evil do? We must build a new country - "City on the Hill", New Zion. Promised Land. Through his subordinate, Ukrainian oligarch I. Kolomoyski voiced his and Dnepropetrovsk Chabad's ultimate goal: to build in Ukraine a new state, the promised land (sic), the new Zion.
Has God promised a new promised land? It already exists [according to the Jew] - in Israel.
Another Promised Land cannot be, but Dnepropetrovsk Chabad and Kolomoyski, who finances and directs (not the head of the [Ukrainian security] SBU, Nalyvaichenko) fascist punitive operation in Donetsk and Lugansk, are trying to make Ukraine over into a promised land.
Moreover, on Purim (March 16, 2014; date chosen to hit the Ukrainian Chabad as much as possible), when the autonomy referendum was held in Crimea, Rabbi of Dnepropetrovsk Shmuel Kaminetski said: We have lived together with the Ukrainians for 1000 years. Ukraine is our Land.
Today we will read the scroll of Esther, as we have done over thousands of years on Purim. Today's reading is particularly important. Today, a new Aman, our common enemy with the Ukrainians, is very near.
The mention of Aman dwarfs the joke of 1,000 years together.
Who is this new Aman?
In the broad sense, it is Russia and Russians, and more specifically - President Vladimir Putin whose plans thwart Chabad - Lubavitch's new Zion in Ukraine. The loss of Crimea hurt the plot by Kolomoyski and his US backers led by the largest and most influential Chabad community in New York.
Even more painful is the process of separating the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, and later, of the whole South - East Ukraine.
Flimsy new Jerusalem began to fall apart as soon as builders started it, because they lied and betrayed, sacrificed ordinary Ukrainians with cruelty unprecedented for the 21st century, shocking so many people. Continued:

By Associated Press August 2, 2014 6:50 am - WASHINGTON (AP) -- Following the quick collapse of the cease-fire in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the White House not to force a truce with Palestinian militants on Israel. Sources familiar with conversations between Netanyahu and senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry, say the Israeli leader advised the Obama administration "not to ever second guess me again" on the matter. The officials also said Netanyahu said he should be "trusted" on the issue and about the unwillingness of Hamas to enter into and follow through on cease-fire talks.
The Obama administration on Friday condemned "outrageous" violations of an internationally brokered Gaza cease-fire by Palestinian militants and called the apparent abduction of an Israeli soldier a "barbaric" action.
The strong reaction came as top Israeli officials questioned the effort to forge the truce, accusing the U.S. and the United Nations of being naive in assuming the radical Hamas movement would adhere with its terms. The officials also blamed the Gulf state of Qatar for not forcing the militants to comply.

Friday Church News Notes, August 1, 2014, David Cloud - Israel is introducing the myth of evolution to its middle school core curriculum next year. Until now, only the biblical account of creation was taught. In order to avoid problems with Orthodox Jews, the Education Ministry is omitting animal to man evolution. Dr. Ariel Chipman, a lecturer in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, told Ynet news that only by withholding human evolution was the professional committee able to introduce natural selection to the curriculum. “If this is what allows [the government] to insert the theory of evolution--such an important subject--into the education system, then as far as I’m concerned it’s fine and welcome” (“Darwin Enters Israeli Schools,” The Times of Israel, June 1, 2014). Evolution is not a theory. There is zero evidence that the universe came from nothing, that life sprang from non-life, that intelligence arose from non-intelligence, or that complex organs and creatures evolved through blind “naturalistic” processes. Darwin’s “natural selection” explains nothing, for it has no creative power. The same is true for every other Darwinian attempt to explain life, including mutations and the Big Bang.

NTEB News Desk | August 22, 2014 | The Muslim lust for blood is never satisfied. “And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.” 1 Kings 18:27,28
Pity the poor Hamas army. After starting a war with Israel, they get pounded at every possible turn by the IDF, suffering horrific losses in the air and on the ground. What else is left for them to do but to execute Palestinians during morning prayers to their god? Ahh, the “religion of peace” is having a revival service.
Early this morning, Hamas security forces killed 11 suspected collaborators at a Gaza police station. Shortly afterward Hamas killed seven more Palestinians in a public execution in a central Gaza square, witnesses and a Hamas website said. The victims, their heads covered and hands tied, were shot dead by masked gunmen dressed in black in front of a crowd of worshipers outside a mosque after prayers, witnesses andal-Majd, a pro-Hamas website, said.

NTEB News Desk | August 11, 2014 | On July 11, Netanyahu warned that “there cannot be a situation, under any agreement, in which we relinquish security control of the territory west of the River Jordan” — a reference to the Jordan Valley and the West Bank.
The rocket that spelled the end of the two-state solution
“In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: “ Genesis 15:18
The recent conflict between Israel and Hamas showed the world a lot of things. It taught us that Hamas uses children as human shields, that they hide rockets in schools, that they launch missiles from civilian hospitals and that they choose death and conflict over life and peace. What did it show Israel? It showed them that the “Palestinians” will never peacefully coexist along side Israel in any way, shape or form. Never. The concept of the Two State Solution died on the battlefield during Operation Protective Edge, and should be buried once and for all.
On July 22, two weeks into Operation Protective Edge, a rocket fired from Gaza landed in the Tel Aviv suburb of Yehud, about one mile (1.6 kilometers) from Ben-Gurion Airport’s perimeter fence. The United States Federal Aviation Administration immediately issued a Notice to Airmen instructing them that “due to the potentially hazardous situation created by the armed conflict in Israel and Gaza,” all flight operations into and out of Ben Gurion were prohibited until further notice. NTEB News Desk | July 11, 2014 | Citing John Kerry by name, PM says he knows best about keeping Israel safe, and won’t allow West Bank to become ‘another 20 Gazas’
“For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.” Isaiah 62:1
On the fourth day of Operation Protective Edge, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a strong and sternly open rebuke to John Kerry, Barack Obama, and any one else who would seek to pressure Israel to relinquish control over the West Bank.
“At present we have a problem with the territory called Gaza,” the prime minister said. But he noted that the West Bank is 20 times the size of Gaza, and vowed that he was not prepared “to create another 20 Gazas” in the West Bank.
“I think the Israeli people understand now what I always say: that there cannot be a situation, under any agreement, in which we relinquish security control of the territory west of the River Jordan” — a reference to the Jordan Valley and the West Bank — as Kerry had urged during a US-led peace effort that collapsed in April.
Citing by name both Kerry and the US security adviser Gen. John Allen, who was charged by the secretary of state to draw up security proposals that the US argued could enable Israel to withdraw from most of the West Bank, including the Jordan Valley, Netanyahu said passionately, “I told John Kerry and General Allen, the Americans’ expert: We live here, I live here, I know what we need to ensure the security of Israel’s people.”
“Adjacent territory has huge importance,” Netanyahu said, and could be used by terrorists to dig tunnels and to fire rockets. The closer terrorists can get to Israel’s borders, he said, the more rockets they fire — as the current conflict was proving.

Prime minister alludes to 'less known' Israeli efforts against militants in Iraq and Syria, states Israel fully supports Obama's call for united action against ISIS. .
By Barak Ravid - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Thursday the West should be wary of strengthening Iran in the fight against Islamic State militants.

By Marcy Kreiter - - on June 22 2014 5:52 PM - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday said the United States should pit Sunni insurgents in Syria and Iraq against Iran, rather than work with Iran to defeat them. Netanyahu's comments on NBC's "Meet the Press" were his first on the issue since the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria captured wide swaths of Iraq and opened a land corridor, enabling it to move more easily across the Iraq and Syria.
Netanyahu declined to make specific suggestions but said action needs to be taken to "counter the ISIS takeover of Iraq" and at the same time not allow "Iran to dominate Iraq the way it dominated Lebanon and Syria," the Jerusalem Post reported.
“When your enemies are fighting each other, don't strengthen either one of them. Weaken both,” Netanyahu said as U.S. President Barack Obama considered what support to give the Iraqi government in fighting the militants, who want to establish a caliphate encompassing parts of Syria and northern Iraq.
U.S. and Iranian negotiators met last week on the sidelines of talks about Iran's nuclear program in Vienna to discuss what role Iran could play in stemming the ISIS assault.
“What you’re seeing in the Middle East today in Iraq and in Syria is the stark hatred between radical Shiites -- in this case led by Iran -- and radical Sunnis led by Al Qaeda and ISIS and others,” Netanyahu said, the Times of Israel reported.
Netanyahu said the ultimate goal in the Middle East remains preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power. He said he fears cooperation with Iran on ISIS could lead to an undermining of Western vigilance on the issue.
He said it would be a "terrible mistake" to allow Iran to keep most of its nuclear capabilities and lift economic sanctions against Tehran, adding a better deal would look like the one made to rid Syria of its chemical weapons stockpile.

Published time: June 23, 2014 11:18 - Edited time: June 24, 2014 15:06 - Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, still stung by the interim agreement reached by the US and Iran that places restrictions on Tehran’s nuclear program in return for easing sanctions, has offered his strategy to Obama on ISIS and Iran: “Weaken both.”
Netanyahu has advised the US against cooperating with Iran in an increasingly chaotic Iraq, where the Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS, or ISIL) has made dramatic territorial gains in the north and center of the country.
The hawkish Israeli leader focused on the Obama administration’s balancing act in Iraq, with its Shi’ite-led government that continues to maintain decent relations with both Washington and Tehran. This poses a natural concern for Tel Aviv, which has long accused Iran of attempting to build nuclear weapons – a claim that Iranian officials have consistently denied.
"What you're seeing in the Middle East today in Iraq and in Syria is the stark hatreds between radical Shi'ites, in this case led by Iran, and radical Sunnis led by al Qaeda and ISIS and others," Netanyahu told the NBC program "Meet the Press."
"Now, both of these camps are enemies of the United States. And when your enemies are fighting each other, don't strengthen either one of them. Weaken both," he urged.
The comments from the Israeli PM come just days after Baghdad asked the US to initiate airstrikes against the Sunni extremist group, which has taken several towns in Anbar province, advancing closer to the capital.

By Erin Banco - IBTIMES.COM - on September 10 2014 9:07 PM President Barack Obama said Wednesday night that the U.S. would fight the Islamic State from the air. The militant group, also known as ISIS and ISIL, has taken over large parts of Syria and Iraq and "in acts of barbarism," is responsible for the beheadings of U.S. journalists James Foley and Stephen Sotloff.
"If left unchecked, these terrorists could pose a growing threat beyond that region -- including to the United States," Obama said. "In a region that has known so much bloodshed, these terrorists are unique in their brutality.
“America will lead a broad coalition to roll back this terrorist threat,” Obama said. “This counter-terrorism campaign will be waged through a steady, relentless effort to take out ISIL wherever they exist using our air power and our support for partner forces on the ground.”
Obama said the mission in Syria would be similar to past efforts to fight terrorism in Yemen and Somalia, which could indicate that the U.S. will use drones to hit ISIS strongholds. Just last week, the U.S. conducted a military mission in Somalia that killed dozens of Al Shabaab members, including Ahmed Abdi Godane, the group's leader. Continued:
