- Dead Sea 'salt cube' phenomenon wows worldwide - Beachcombers
record video of their surprising find
Drew Zahn - June 1, 2014 - WND - At the end of the Jordan River,
the Dead Sea on the border of Israel known biblically
as the Sea of Arabah is a popular tourist destination,
in part, because the seas dense salt content provides surprising
buoyancy for swimmers.
- Just as surprising is the video released by some unidentified
beachcombers who found the seas famous salinity had formed
natural, bite-sized cubes of salt similar to ice cubes
or sugar cubes that had then washed up on shore. Seeing
salt crystals on the shore of the Dead Sea is commonplace, but
less expected is to see nature form the straight lines and right
angles necessary to make perfect, little cubes.
- The video has popped up on Reddit and dozens of other social
media sites and blogs across the world and has garnered over
500,000 views on YouTube.
- The formations themselves are best explained when understanding
that various salts, including common table salt, Sodium Chloride,
naturally form cube-shaped crystals. The Dead Sea provides a
perfect environment for these crystals to grow to unusual size. The
Dead Sea is one of the worlds saltiest bodies of water,
with a salinity varying between 30 and 34 percent, nearly 10
times as salty as the ocean. Located at over 1,400 feet below
sea level, the shores of the Dead Sea mark it the lowest-elevation
sea on Earth, and with a depth of over 1,000 feet, the sea is
the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. Film proves it:

ISRAEL ACHNOWLEDGES JEWS IN FACT KHAZARS; SECRET PLAN FOR REVERSE
MIGRATION TO UKRAINE
- March 18, 2014, 11:34 pm - Jim Wald who is Associate Professor

to the crisis over the Crimean referendum.)
Fast-breaking Developments - Followers of Middle Eastern affairs
know two things: always expect the unexpected, and never write
off Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who has more political
lives than the proverbial cat. Only yesterday came news that
Syrian rebels plan to give Israel the Golan Heights in exchange
for creation of a no-fly zone against the Assad regime. In an
even bolder move, it is now revealed, Israel will withdraw its
settlers from communities beyond the settlement blocsand
relocate them at least temporarily to Ukraine. Ukraine made this
arrangement on the basis of historic ties and in exchange for
desperately needed military assistance against Russia. This surprising
turn of events had an even more surprising origin: genetics,
a field in which Israeli scholars have long excelled.
- A Warlike Turkic People - and a Mystery - It is well known
that, sometime in the eighth to ninth centuries, the Khazars,
a warlike Turkic people, converted to Judaism and ruled over
a vast domain in what became southern Russia and Ukraine. What
happened to them after the Russians destroyed that empire around
the eleventh century has been a mystery. Many have speculated
that the Khazars became the ancestors of Ashkenazi Jews. [...]
Speaking off the record, he explained, We first thought
that admitting we are really Khazars was one way to get around
Abbass insistence that no Jew can remain in a Palestinian
state. Maybe we were grasping at straws. But when he refused
to accept that, it forced us to think about more creative solutions.
The Ukrainian invitation for the Jews to return was a godsend.
Relocating all the settlers within Israel in a short time would
be difficult for reasons of logistics and economics. We certainly
dont want another fashlan like the expulsion of the settlers
in the Gaza Hitnatkut [disengagement].[...]
A veteran Middle East journalist said: Its problematic,
but in a perverse way, brilliant. In one fell swoop, Bibi has
managed to confound friend and foe alike. Hes put the ball
back in the Palestinians court and relieved the pressure
from the Americans without actually making any real concessions.
Meanwhile, by lining up with the Syrian rebels and Ukraine, as
well as Georgia and Azerbaijan, he compensates for the loss of
the Turkish alliance and puts pressure on both Assad and Iran.
And the new Cypriot-Israeli gas deal props up Ukraine and weakens
the economic leverage of both the Russians and the Gulf oil states.
Just brilliant. http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/leaked-report-israel-acknowledges-
- REMOVING WEST BANK SETTLERS WOULD COST $10 BILLION: PEACE
By Jonathan Ferziger 2014-03-18T18:22:55Z Paying Israels
West Bank settlers to give up their homes for a future Palestinian
state would cost about $10 billion, a peace group said. Settlers
said today that the final price could be double that. Assuming
Israel would have to move about 100,000 people if a peace accord
is reached, the organization, Blue White Future, estimates that
compensation of $400,000 would be needed for each of 25,000 households,
Co-Chairman Gilead Sher said. Fifty percent of those affected
would move voluntarily, while about 40 percent would refuse,
the group said, based on survey findings presented yesterday.
This is an amount Israel can easily finance out of its
own budget expenditures, Roby Nathanson, head of the Tel
Aviv-based Macro Center for Political Economics, which conducted
the survey, said on a conference call. Roughly half the money
would compensate settlers for their homes, while the rest would
cover costs such as building infrastructure, new homes, psychological
counseling and job training, he said.
U.S. President Barack Obama is trying to persuade Israelis and
Palestinians to agree on a framework for continuing peace talks
beyond the nine months they originally approved. The period for
negotiations ends April 29, and Obama met with Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas yesterday at the White House to push for the agreement,
which he described as very challenging. Israeli Prime

Israel's national assets.
Yair Hasson Published: 05.22.14 - Israel Business - Former Mossad
head Efraim Halevy warned Wednesday that the purchase of Israel's
largest food company by a Chinese firm was a threat to national
security. "The fact that Israel's largest food company is
owned by the Chinese government will lead to the company's financial
conduct serving Chinese interests," he said. Under terms
of a preliminary accord, China's Bright Food said on Thursday
it will buy 56 percent of dairy firm Tnuva from private equity
house Apax for an undisclosed sum. According to Halevy, who had
voiced his disapproval of the deal in the past, "the company
buying Tnuva is owned by the Chinese government. This is not
a company owned by a private Chinese businessman. This allows
the Chinese government to do make immediate decisions as it sees
fit." The former spy chief told Ynet why he believed that
business sectors beyond infrastructure and defense, like food,
were also integral to national security. "Food production
is today one of the sectors included in the frame of national
security. There is a concept called 'food security.' "This
is an important subject for every country in the world, and there
are countries that go as far as to purchase or long-term lease
agricultural land in other nations for future food production."
- NETANYAHU 'TROUBLED' BY OBAMA MAINTAINING RELATIONS WITH
Tuesday, 03 Jun 2014 08:45 AM Israel's prime minister said Wednesday
he is "deeply troubled" by the United States' decision
to maintain relations with the new Palestinian unity government,
urging Washington to tell the Palestinian president that his
alliance with the Hamas militant group is unacceptable. The blunt
language used by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflected
the Israeli government's disappointment and frustration over
the international community's embrace of Palestinian President
Mahmoud Abbas' new unity government. Netanyahu has urged the
world to shun the government because it is backed by Hamas, an
Islamic group that has killed hundreds of Israelis in attacks
over the past two decades. But late Tuesday, both the U.S. and
European Union said they would give Abbas a chance.
"I'm deeply troubled by the announcement that the United
States will work with the Palestinian government backed by Hamas,"
Netanyahu told The Associated Press, saying the group has murdered
"countless innocent civilians." "All those who
genuinely seek peace must reject President Abbas' embrace of
Hamas, and most especially, I think the United States must make
it absolutely clear to the Palestinian president that his pact
with Hamas, a terrorist organization that seeks Israel's liquidation,
is simply unacceptable," he said. Israel and the West have
branded Hamas a terrorist group. But Israel's allies in Washington
and Europe have said they will maintain ties to the new government
and continue sending hundreds of millions of dollars in aid as
long as it renounces violence and recognizes Israel's right to

- POPE FRANCIS AT THE VATICAN FOR PEACE PRAYER
Jun 2nd, 2014 by admin. Here are some quotes from the Associated
Press that were published by the Top Nine online news service:
Abbas, Perez Confirm They Will Meet Pope Francis At The
Vatican For Peace Prayer
Pope Francis plunged Sunday into Mideast politics during
his Holy Land pilgrimage, calling the current stalemate in peace
efforts unacceptable and winning the acceptance from
the Israeli and Palestinian presidents to pay a symbolic visit
to the Vatican next month to pray for peace. Jubilant Palestinians
cheered Francis as he arrived in Bethlehems Manger Square,
shouting Viva al-Baba! or Long live the pope!
Giant Palestinian flags in red, white, green and black and the
Vaticans yellow-and-white flags decorated the square, which
is home to the Church of the Nativity, built over the grotto
where tradition says Jesus was born.
At the end of Mass in the square, Francis invited Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres to
pray with him for peace, saying: I offer my home in the
Vatican as a place for this encounter of prayer.
Israeli-Palestinian peace talks broke down in late April,
and there have been no public high-level meetings for a year.
President Barak Obama has been unable to kick start the all-but-dead
Middle East Peace Process, despite the efforts of his inexperienced
and inept envoy, John Kerry. By inviting the Presidents of both
Israel and the Palestinian Authority to come and pray at the
Vatican, Pope Francis has changed the landscape dramatically.
It is no longer the U.S. that is the Broker of Peace in the Middle
East. Now it is the Vatican. Pope Francis has, in one brilliant
move, stolen the Middle East Peace negotiations away from Barak
Obama. By the way, it is very, very significant the day chosen
for the Vatican prayers is Sunday, June 8 the High Holy
Day of Pentecost. T. Leon Sexton http://legacyinstitute.org/
- ISRAEL APPROVES NEW SETTLEMENT CONSTRUCTION?
- [Ednote: this is what was confusing after the previous article
about resettling to the Ukraine]
- By JOSEF FEDERMAN - From Associated Press - June 05, 2014
2:02 PM EST
- JERUSALEM (AP) Israel gave the final go-ahead Thursday
to build nearly 1,500 homes in Jewish settlements, saying the
construction was a response to the formation of the Palestinian
unity government backed by the Islamic militant group Hamas.
The move triggered international criticism and deepened a rift
between Israel and its Western allies. With Israel outraged at
the world's embrace of the unity government, Israel's housing
minister said the new construction was "just the beginning."
Israel has been sparring with its allies in Washington and Europe

- POPE FRANCIS: WANT MIDDLE EAST PEACE? 'Pray, pray, pray'
Radio host talks to pontiff as historic meeting looms
June 6, 2014 WND - Pope Francis has told a reporter just
as a historic meeting between Israeli President Shimon Peres
and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas looms that to
obtain peace in the Middle East, prayer is needed.
Pray, pray, pray, the pope told American television
journalist and WABC Radio host Rita Cosby.
She was granted a rare audience with the pope at the Vatican
in Rome this week, becoming one of the first American journalists
to talk with him. She asked about several topics, including his
possible role as a peacemaker in the Middle East. The White House,
pressing for a two-state solution, believes land
for peace will produce success and that Palestinian Authority
President Mahmoud Abbas is a reliable peace partner. But Abbas
has said he will never recognized Israel as a Jewish state, and
his unity agreement with the terrorist group Hamas, which governs
Gaza, is a deal-breaker for Israel. On Sunday, Peres and Abbas
are to meet with the pope at the Vatican.
The surprise invitation to both presidents for a prayer summit
was extended during the popes recent visit to the Middle
East. The visit included a stop at Bethlehems Manger Square.

moments of my life. He was extremely engaging and

- Monday, June 2, 2014 - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
said: "Today, Abu Mazen said yes to terrorism and no to
peace. This is the direct continuation of Abu Mazen's policy
of refusing peace. While Israel has carried out courageous and
painful steps on behalf of the diplomatic process and continues
to be committed to peace, Abu Mazen has refused to extend the
negotiations, has rejected the American framework document, continues
to incite against Israel, has unilaterally acceded to UN treaties
and has now forged a pact with the Hamas terrorist organization.
- Abu Mazen has forged a pact with the Hamas organization,
which is responsible for the murder of over 1,000 innocent Israelis
and the firing of thousands of missiles at Israeli cities.
- Abu Mazen has forged a pact with Hamas, an organization which
has been declared a terrorist organization in the US, Europe,
Egypt and throughout the world, and which completely rejects
the international community's conditions. The international community
needs to treat it accordingly.
- In recent days, the leaders of the Hamas terrorist organization
have reiterated their commitment to the path of terrorism and
to the elimination of the State of Israel. The agreement with
Hamas makes Abu Mazen directly responsible for the terrorism

- ISRAEL LIMITS SECURITY COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA
- Jun. 1, 2014 - 03:51PM | By BARBARA OPALL-ROME - TEL AVIV
Israel has forfeited some US $1 billion in defense trade
and dual-use development projects with Russia due to a delicately
balanced foreign and export licensing policy aimed at preserving
security ties with Moscow without harming vital interests of
the US and its NATO allies.
- In interviews here, officials underscored Israels sovereign
right and need to advance its diplomatic and security agenda
through strengthened ties with Moscow, an increasingly pivotal
player in the region and the world.
- But given ongoing US-Russian geopolitical posturing and recent
tensions over Ukraine, Israel must remain sensitive to the interests
of its key ally in Washington, officials here say.
- The result, a senior MoD official said, is a delicate and
continuously calibrated policy of balance that has
already cost Israel more than $1 billion in lost sales and opportunities
for strategic cooperation with Russia.
- We could gain from Russia billions of dollars,
the official said in a recent interview. In a typical year, Israel
signs about $7 billion in export deals worldwide. But even more
than lost sales, the official noted Moscows unique capacity
to influence Israels strategic standing in the region through
its ties to enemy states such as Iran and Syria. Continued:

to a report in the Arabic media over the weekend. [...] The reconciliation

the stalemated American-brokered peace negotiations on April

Gazas southern Rafah crossing and address the fuel shortages

for months. [...] The United States is scheduled to provide $440

- THE ELECTION OF ABD AL-FATAH EL-SISI AS PRESIDENT OF EGYPT
- INSS Insight No. 557, June 3, 2014 Ephraim Kam
- SUMMARY: There were no surprises in last weeks presidential
election in Egypt. It was clear from the outset that Abd al-Fatah
al-Sisi, the former defense minister and the most powerful man
in the Egyptian leadership, would be elected. From Israels
perspective Sisis election is clearly the preferred outcome.
His regime is far preferable to that of the Muslim Brotherhood,
with its fundamentally hostile attitude to Israel. Sabahi, Sisis
rival in the election, was also highly critical of Israel and
expressed his support for Hamas. By contrast, Sisi portrays the
peace agreement with Israel as an Egyptian strategic asset. Given
his past as the head of intelligence and defense minister, Sisi
is aware of the advantages of military coordination with Israel.

- INTERVIEW WITH UN PEACE ENVOY BRAHIMI: 'SYRIA WILL BECOME
- ONLINE Interview by Susanne Koelbl June 07, 2014 11:14
- SPIEGEL: Is Assad aware of the way the war is being conducted
by his army?
- Brahimi: One-hundred percent.
- SPIEGEL: The barrel bombs being thrown from helicopters on
civilian populations? The targeted bombing of hospitals? The
systematic torture and killing of thousands or tens-of-thousands?
- Brahimi: He knows a hell of a lot. Maybe he doesn't know
every single detail of what is happening, but I'm sure he is
aware that people are being tortured, that people are being killed,
that bombs are being thrown, that cities are being destroyed.
He cannot ignore the fact that there are 2.5 million refugees.
That number is going to be 4 million next year, and there are
6 million people who are internally displaced. He knows that
there are 50,000 to 100,000 people in his jails. And that some
of them are tortured every day.
- SPIEGEL: Did you confront him with those facts?
- Brahimi: Sure! I spoke to him of a list of 29,000 people
in his prisons and I gave a copy of the list to his office.
- SPIEGEL: Is the regime the major culprit or are war crimes
also committed by others?
- Brahimi: War crimes are being committed every day, by both
sides. Starvation is being used as a weapon. When you prevent
water and food from reaching 250,000 people, what else can you
call that? And at the same time, some of the armed groups are
using civilians as human shields. But the regime has a state,
has an army with 300,000 men, has airplanes, which the opposition
- SPIEGEL: Does anybody track those war crimes and hold people
- Brahimi: There is an investigation commission, working under
the umbrella of the High Commission of Human Rights, that has
been trying to look at all these human rights abuses and they
are systematically collecting facts. People will be held responsible
- SPIEGEL: Who is the dominating force in the armed opposition?
- Brahimi: The opposition is very fragmented, even the Free
Syrian Army. But everybody understands that the jihadi group
ISIS (Eds. Note: The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) is
not really interested in Syria. They seek to establish a new
order in the region. As long as there are no negotiations, the
armed groups as well as the political opposition will continue
to be fragmented.
- SPIEGEL: Are any of those groups capable of winning the fight
against Assad and his regime?
- Brahimi: The United Nations secretary general has been saying
all along that there is no military solution. Neither the regime,
nor the opposition can win a decisive military victory.
- SPIEGEL: What is your prediction for the future of Syria
and the region?
- Brahimi: Unless there is a real, sustained effort to work
out a political solution, there is a serious risk that the entire
region will blow up. The conflict is not going to stay inside
Syria. It will spill over into the region. It's already destabilizing
Lebanon, there are 1.5 million refugees in the country; that
represents one third of the population. If it were Germany, it
would be the equivalent of 20 million. It is destabilizing because
- AFTER FAILED PEACE TALKS, ISRAEL DIVIDED
By JOSEF FEDERMAN and DAN PERRY - From Associated Press June
09, 2014 3:25 PM EST
JERUSALEM (AP) - The collapse of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks
has laid bare deep divisions in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's
coalition that John Kerry's determined but ill-fated diplomacy
had allowed to be papered over.
Key coalition allies are demanding a government initiative to
extract Israel from the West Bank, while others say now is the
moment for enhanced Jewish settlement and even annexation of
some areas. The likely short-term outcome is a period of protracted
gridlock in which hopes for peace will remain in deep freeze,
and some are sensing that a government collapse and even early
elections may follow suit.
"This coalition is definitely problematic," Tzipi Livni,
leader of the "Movement" party and until recently Israel's
chief peace negotiator, told Israel Radio on Monday. In many
ways, the coalition has been problematic since taking office
in March 2013. Its members include a dovish party committed to
peace with the Palestinians, a centrist party focused on domestic
affairs and nationalistic elements who oppose any concessions
to the Palestinians.
The resumption of peace talks last July enabled this assemblage
to put its differences on hold - and forge a coalition that was
convenient and, for the nine months of Kerry's labors, politically
defensible. But the talks collapsed in April, as many observers
had expected, and now the fissures are re-emerging with rival
factions proposing wildly different ideas on how to proceed.
Last week's formation of a Palestinian unity government, backed
by both President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah and the Hamas militant
group, has only added to those divisions. Economics Minister
Naftali Bennett, leader of the pro-settler "Jewish Home"
party, told a prestigious security conference on Sunday that
Israel should annex large parts of the West Bank, occupied territory
that is almost universally seen as the heartland of a future
Palestinian state. Such a move would trigger an international
uproar against Israel. The 2 million-odd Palestinians in non-annexed
areas would be given enhanced autonomy, he offered.
"The time has come to think differently in a creative way
on how to make a better future for Israeli citizens and the Arabs
of Judea and Samaria," Bennett said, using the biblical
term for the West Bank. Continued:

- ISIS THREATENS TO INVADE JORDAN, 'SLAUGHTER' KING ABDULLAH
- by Khaled Abu Toameh June 12, 2014 at 5:00 am - The recent
victories in Iraq and Syria by the terrorists of ISIS -- said
to be an offshoot of al-Qaeda -- have emboldened the group and
its followers throughout the Middle East. Now the terrorists
are planning to move their jihad not only to Jordan, but also
to the Gaza Strip, Sinai and Lebanon.
- Failure to act will result in the establishment in the Middle
East of a dangerous extremist Islamic empire that will pose a
threat to American and Western interests. [...] One of the ideas
discussed envisages focusing ISIS's efforts on Jordan,
where Islamist movements already have a significant presence.
Jordan was also chosen because it has shared borders with Iraq
and Syria, making it easier for the terrorists to infiltrate
the kingdom. Continued:

we urge that no political investment be made on terrorist groups,"
Zarif said. The Iranian top diplomat also noted that the government

- ISRAELI MILITARY CARRIES OUT AIRSTRIKES IN SYRIA
By JOSEF FEDERMAN - From Associated Press - June 23, 2014 1:15
- JERUSALEM (AP) Israeli warplanes bombed a series of
targets inside Syria early on Monday, the Israeli military said,
in response to a cross-border attack that killed an Israeli teenager
the previous day.
- In all, Israel said it struck nine military targets inside
Syria, and "direct hits were confirmed."
- The targets were located near the site of Sunday's violence
in the Golan Heights and included a regional military command
center and unspecified "launching positions." There
was no immediate response from Syria.
- In Sunday's attack, an Israeli civilian vehicle was struck
by forces in Syria as it drove in the Israeli-controlled Golan
Heights. A teenage boy was killed and two other people were wounded
in the first deadly incident along the volatile Israeli-Syrian
front since Syria's civil war erupted more than three years ago.
The Israeli vehicle was delivering water as it was doing contract
work for Israel's Defense Ministry when it was struck.
- "Yesterday's attack was an unprovoked act of aggression
against Israel, and a direct continuation to recent attacks that
occurred in the area," said Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, a military
spokesman. He said the military "will not tolerate any attempt
to breach Israel's sovereignty and will act in order to safeguard
the civilians of the state of Israel."
- The sudden burst of violence has added to the tense situation
in Israel, where forces have spent the past week and half in
a broad ground operation in the West Bank in search of three
teenage boys believed to have been abducted by Hamas militants.

Will ISIS cross the border into Israel?
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper
that love thee. Psalm 122:6
- The Times of Israel reported today that almost the entire
Syrian side of the Golan Heights is now under the control of
rebel forces, including radical Islamist groups, a senior Israeli
military commander in the area said Friday.

- Only the Quneitra border area is still in the hands of forces
loyal to President Bashar Assad, Lt.-Col. Anan Abbas, deputy
commander of the Golan Brigade, told Israels Channel 10.
About 95 percent of the Syrian side of the Golan is in the hands
of anti-Assad rebels, including radical Islamic groups such as
the Al-Nusra Front, affiliated with al-Qaeda, a rival of the
burgeoning Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, better known
as ISIL or ISIS.
- One of two Syrian army brigades that used to control the
area has completely disappeared, the officer said. At present,
the Islamist groups in the area are focused on the war against
Assad, he said, but we know their goal is to harm Israel;
weve seen their propaganda material.
- NETANYAHU'S CALIPHATE
- "your wickedness is great, which ye have done in
the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king." 1 Samuel 12:17
- On June 29, 2014 the Islamic State
of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) declared a Caliphate, following
its independence declaration on January 3. Israel is on the verge
of declaring war.
- If ISIL were happy with the boundaries it controlled upon
its declaration of the Caliphate, Israel would have said "let
it be." Iraq and Syria never were close friends of Herr
Herzl. However, the Caliphate wants also Jordan, Israel, Palestine,
Lebanon, Hatay Province of Turkey and Cyprus.
PM Netanyahu Declaring Israeli Support of Kurdistan
If ISIL had no chance to succeed, Israel would have said "let
it be." However, the Sunni areas of Iraq fell under control
of the Caliphate and neighboring regimes are trembling and bracing
- If ISIL had not declared the end of the Sykes-Picot map,
Israel would have said "let it be." A Sykes-Picot offspring,
Israel will not let ISIL to undermine its already disputed legitimacy.
- The if-statements above are unlikely to be fulfilled, thus
the Israeli declarations following the establishment of the Caliphate
are unequivocal. War is in the air, and Zion will be more than
happy to force it on the USA.
- The Middle East map looks as strange as the American one.
Straight lines defining borders among countries and states are
a clear sign of Colonialists in action.
- The Sykes-Picot, or Asia Minor Agreement, was a secret treaty
between the governments of the United Kingdom and France, and
Czarist Russia as a minor side. Signed on May 16, 1916, it divided
the Ottoman Empire Arab provinces outside the Arabian Peninsula
between areas of future British and French control. [...]
- The Caliphate declaration caught Foreign Affairs Minister
Lieberman by surprise in Berlin, meeting his German counterpart
Frank-Walter Steinmeier. After the meeting, they delivered surprising
- The host said: "The situation in the area is worrying...
ISIL in Iraq is a serious threat on the territorial completeness
of Iraq. It should be the interest of everybody that ISIL will
not materialize its holding and that the Caliphate will not become
a center of violence and terror."
- He elaborated on the details of an Iraqi government that
would be supported by his country. His words relate to a short
period in history. There was no Iraq before 1916, it is unlikely
to exist in 2016. It was a made up country attempting to unify
three very different entities. Why would Shia, Sunni and Kurds
accept the German view? Does Germany evaluate that these people
want a new Sykes-Picot Agreement?
- Lieberman spoke with annoying Israeli rhetoric, full of innuendos
and implied threats while explicitly saying only that he cannot
provide details for obvious reasons. It is a handy excuse when
the details do not exist.
